The tolerances are tight on this setup there is no sloppiness here. It opens easily with the thumb stud and locks in place with a slide lock. The knife is made in the USA which is a good thing. I have not carried this knife while wearing dress pants but I would say that with the knife being really light it would not even be noticed.
