It is a tough, rugged, durable piece of steel. The aesthetics are great. The carbon fiber scales are beautiful. The blade finish is very slick, and the hollow grind further accentuates the sheen. Performance wise, This knife is awesome. The blade is a very thick slab of CPM M4, a VERY hard steel. I usually don't like hollow ground blades, but in this case, where the blade will not need sharpened for a long time, it suits me fine. Being a hollow ground blade, this sucker is sharp... literally RAZOR sharp. I've heard guys say, "oh man, this knife is razor sharp!"... and it's not quite, but this knife was the sharpest knife I've ever handled out of the box... ever. The blade is designed for slicing, skinning, chopping, etc... Not a tactical, but a great edc. The handle has great ergonomics which allow the hand to choke up for detailed work.
